Am Tacheles Berlin – Residential Building “Suites”

The Am Tacheles urban quarter marked the completion of one of Berlin’s last major vacant lot. Based on the master plan by Herzog & de Meuron, a new area for living, working, shopping, dining, and culture has emerged around the former Tacheles art center in the Mitte district. Our office completed two residential buildings and one office building within this ensemble. The new buildings draw on the scale and articulation of the site’s historic parcel structure and contribute to the integration of the quarter into its urban context. The “Suites” residential building reinterprets the traditional townhouse typology, combining private apartments with shared amenities. A generous lobby, landscaped gardens and wellness facilities encourage social interaction and connection.
