Am Tacheles Berlin – Residential Building “Form3”

The Am Tacheles urban quarter marked the completion of one of Berlin’s last major vacant lot. Based on the master plan by Herzog & de Meuron, a new area for living, working, shopping, dining, and culture has emerged around the former Tacheles art center in the Mitte district. Our office completed two residential buildings and one office building within this ensemble. The “Form3” residential building on Aaron-Bernstein-Platz combines urban living with a high quality of life. The open-plan apartments open up to both the lively urban space and quiet, green courtyards. Distinctive, honeycomb-shaped loggias structure the façade and create gradual transitions between interior and exterior. This allows residents to individually choose their level of privacy and participation in public life.
