Since 2007 the “DAM Award for Architecture in Germany” has been honoring outstanding structures. For the DAM Award, the Museum has nominated 100 remarkable structures in Germany. It also presents a selection of buildings by German architects abroad, although these are not eligible for the prize. The edifices nominated for the DAM Award 2017 had to have been completed between the end of 2014 and mid-2016. Alongside housing projects, outstanding cultural buildings and museums as well as transport structures were also chosen, as were an architectural sculpture and a new beer hall.
